We may be a year or two away from major studios leaving the last-gen consoles behind and releasing titles exclusively on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5. It looks like the PS4 and Xbox One will get at least one more year of Call of Duty. While we now know that the game will be coming to both last gen and current-gen, many fans are wondering when Activision would start moving away from the last-gen consoles. PS4 is at least confirmed, could just be Xbox One they leave behind? /njNG24Gw1C It may just have been a listing error on Microsoft's part, or even a strange new approach to push their newer hardware. Xbox has since updated its listing to include both the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The user then pointed out that a video on the official PlayStation YouTube channel confirmed that the upcoming installment will be released on the PS4 and PS5. The confusion started when content creator TheGamingRevolution noticed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was only listed on the Xbox Series X/S and not the Xbox One on the official Xbox website. There was some confusion about the release on last-gen a few days ago. With current-gen consoles being around for at least three years, players are wondering when would Activision fully commit to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and ditch last-gen.Ĭall of Duty fans who are still on last-gen consoles can breathe a sigh of relief that the upcoming title will be launching on PS4 and Xbox One. In a surprising but welcome twist, last-gen consoles are getting the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3. Just sayin. There was some confusion about the release of Modern Warfare 3 on last-gen consoles. The fact that we still have to go through loops & countless hours of slider testing to "fix" things that should already be fixed out of the box speaks volumes. Just need to tweak a few things and lower the ramp with run blocking. If I can't fix the running game, then the offensive side of the ball will remain too much of an issue and I likely won't get but 1 or 2 seasons in before I get burnt out, but I am holding my breath that modding will fix the running game like in the past. I think once the running game gets fixed along with some CPU logic things that I'll have a very good playing game I'll be able to enjoy and hopefully get 5+ seasons out of. I'll just have to wait on the modding scene to open up, which I am patient enough to do, before I can fix the run game myself. Overall, sliders fixed what I figured they could. You get 5+ or lose 2 and nothing in between. There are not many running plays that just go for 2 to 3 yards. The running game is still too dependent on either rolling an animation that results in 3 yards of push or an insta-shed for a tackle at or behind the line. Not enough stalemate or slight win animations. There's still just too much push by default at the OL. The running game was still too strong even with run blocking turned all the way down to 5. Neither him nor Brissett really threw the ball well as I was under pressure the entire game. After playing the default All Madden game that was a snoozer because of the helpless CPU defense, I put in some sliders and had a much better game for the most part.
